Thank fsck for Yahoo, in that they never let such a wonderful, aesthetically sound chunk of historical record die.
Obviously, this is before I found the secret to image optimization. And Java, well, I don't know what I was thinking there.

Yes, yes... at the time I was rereading Gravity's Rainbow, a novel of war and physics and deconstructionist oddity. der raketemensch was the protagonist, and a favorite character of mine.
Perhaps I should have spouted that bit for the meme, huh?

Rocketman design, that was nice for a first website. I bet there are people still doing that today. I had mine all black and white with lots of flashing lights.
